My name is Tricia -
My personal mission statement is to create, entertain, educate, and inspire positive actions through media, mentoring, and partnerships.
I teach[1] introductory classes in Video Filmmaking[2] and Screenwriting.
I write[3] in lots of different lanes …
I draw[4] (with Procreate® on my iPad® ;-)
Welcome to my Studio!
[1] teach - at CT State Asnuntuck (since 2009). And have taught media from idea to distribution at Granby Community Access and Media, Inc (GCAM 2012-2019), Burlington Cable Access Television, Inc (BCAT 2000-2009), and a semester of Media Aesthetics at Endicott College (2010). And done other media work[*] in education, commercial, non-profit, and on a feature film between 1994-1999).
[2] Yes, I know Video and Film are two different mediums.
[3] write - and publish! I explore writing as a creative outlet and technical craft by experimenting with many different “pens”, styles, and formats. And yes, a camcorder is a type of pen.
[4] draw - learning craft and figuring out my own style using how-to texts, children’s books, art books, and other media at my local (and a few not so local) libraries .
[*] At some point I have practiced most of the video production things - producing, directing (field & studio), videography, co-host/anchoring, writing, lighting, editing, set designing, prop procurement, craft services, production assistanting ;-) … etc.
